Completion of this questionnaire is easy - it's colour coded to a degree.  You do not need to answer all the questions for the information to be valid.  First section is primarily for coaches, next section is for shooters.  You are welcome to answer all or some of the questions in one or both blocks if they apply to you.

(leave this blank if you are not sure)

would you consider completing a course in the future     Yes    No   Maybe

If you are interested in coaching, is there any particular reason/s preventing you from completing an accredited course in the future (you may select more than one)

I have no spare time to do courses
   the courses are too long
did a course ages ago, and it was not good
my State hasn't run any courses
   I don't believe that I need a course to be a coach
I'm not good at book work
I didn't know the course was available
   never really thought about it
perhaps it will be too complicated

The Level 1 & 2 Course Syllabus is available on the TRA website in the Member's Services area - for an overview of the topics included in both the Level 1 & 2 syllabus, follow this link.  Level 1 can be completed in one full week-end, and level 2 is worked over two week-ends.

Would you like to be kept informed of any coaching accreditation courses that may be happening in your State?
                              Yes   No

If your answer was ...used to - now expired
Is there a particular reason why you let your accreditation lapse (you may select more than one)

didn't know when it had expired
forgot to send in the re-accreditation forms
I don't agree with the accreditation system
  I'm not coaching anymore
It's too expensive to renew the accreditation every four years (approx $16.50)
I didn't think I had enough points to update
seemed too complicated to read the information on updating and keep a log book

The Level 1 & 2 courses have been completely re-written in the past 12 months - so if you completed a course previously, you may be in for a pleasant surprise.  To see how easy it is to maintain your accreditation over a four year period, use this link to view the TRA Update Policy Guidelines.

Although your accreditation may have lapsed, if you are actively coaching, there may be a way to re-accredit without having to again complete a full course.  Please contact the TRA Coaching Council to discuss your particular circumstances.

TRA could do more (remember to list what the "more" is, in the box below)
No coaches come to my club and we don't have a coach in the club
Our club has more than one accredited coach
Too much attention is given to the few elite shooters, and not enough to the club shooters. (see the box below for further comment on this)
Shooters need to ask their State Association to conduct coaching events.
The coaches in my State are not experienced enough
Our Club coaches are doing a good job
I could achieve to a higher level if I had the right support. (see the box below)
My State could do more (see the box below)
Our State Coaches are doing a good job
TRA should be looking at National matters, and support the States to look after their Clubs.

In light of your thoughts above, please offer comment on your specific needs in the box below
Give some idea of the type of events/activities that you would attend and find useful.

.

Thank you for taking the time to get this far.  You can appreciate, that whatever is happening, it will not suit everyone.  The task is to find the even balance.  With your comments and suggestions on board, the TRA Coaching Council will endeavour to work for your continual improvement.
