Northern Region Championship 2007 - LISMORE
The Northern Region Championship was held on the 10th and 11th of November and was one of the most successful shoots held in recent years. It was well attended with competitors representing eight clubs from NSW and Queensland. The wet weather was a little trying with some of the paper targets, these issues were dealt with as they occurred but it did cause Saturdays events to finish later than planned. The competition provided for a very full day on Saturday and winding up at lunchtime Sunday allowing visitors to get a good start on their homeward journeys.
Robert Eckel from Charleville took out the “John Buongiorno 50 metre Prone Champion” with a total score of 1182 and Clinton Sondergeld of Toowoomba was “Junior Champion”. The “Doug Lock Trophy” teams advent was won by the Brisbane Commercial Team with a team score of 3499 and the team consisting of Dane Sampson, Jack Barnes and Janelle Rossiter. Lesley Perk from Isis club in Qld took out the “Suffolks Sports Store Silhouette Champion” with the possible score of 80 and Thomas Versace of Toowoomba was the “Junior Champion”. The Lismore Club wishes to thank all shooters who made the effort to attend and specially those who travelled long distances. A full list of scores are shown below.
